האיגוד הישראלי לכירורגיה פלסטית ואסתטית בהסתדרות הרפואית, ערך ביום שישי האחרון (15.2.2019) סדנא מעשית בנושא הזרקת בוטולינום טוקסין למתמחים ומומחים בכירורגיה פלסטית. הסדנא נערכה במרכז הכירורגי שוורץ-ארד ברמת החייל בתל אביב. בחלקה הראשון נערכו הרצאות של הרופאים המומחים, ד"ר שרית כהן, ד"ר אריאל טיסונה וד"ר מרינה לנדאו.
החלק השני כלל הדגמות מעשיות של טכניקות חדשניות להזרקת בוטולינום טוקסין באדיבות חברת מדיסון פארמה יבואנית דיספורט.
באיגוד מדגישים כי על מנת להיות רופא מומחה בכירורגיה פלסטית, יש להשלים 6 שנות התמחות מעבר לשנות הלימוד בבית ספר לרפואה. ההתמחות נערכת ברובה במחלקות לכירורגיה פלסטית בבתי החולים וכוללת ניתוחים משחזרים וכן רפואה אסתטית אשר מתקיימת בסדנאות שיוזם האיגוד, כמו הסדנא הנוכחית אשר עסקה בפיתוח מיומנויות להזרקת בוטולינום טוקסין.
על חלק זה של הכשרת המתמחים באיגוד, אחראים ד"ר רון עזריה, מזכיר האיגוד לכירורגיה פלסטית וד"ר תומר צור, רופא בכיר במחלקה לכירורגיה פלסטית במרכז הרפואי הדסה.
מנתוני האיגוד לכירורגיה פלסטית עולה כי תחום האסתטיקה הרפואית מבוקש על ידי הציבור והדרישה לטיפולים גוברת משנה לשנה. על פי נתוני האיגוד, בשנה האחרונה התבצעו בישראל 198,000 טיפולי הזרקת בוטולינום טוקסין בקרב גברים ובנשים.
השפעת ההזרקה על החלשת השריר באיזור ההזרקה מביאה להפחתת קמטים לתקופה של כמה חודשים.
באיגוד מסבירים כי במקום שבו הדרישה גוברת והאכיפה מעטה, מתפתחת קרקע פורייה למתחזים המסכנים את בריאות הציבור.
