נשים בהייטק עדיין במיעוט וכשמביטים על תעשיית ההון סיכון, הקרנות והאנג'לים אפילו קשה יותר לראות נשים מתברגות בעמדות מפתח. שלי הוד מויאל יזמית ושותפה־מייסדת של iAngels ושל קרן iCapital, התראיינה לפני מספר שנים לחדשות הלילה ב-2016. מהראיון ניתן ללמוד לא מעט על נשים, ניהול, יזמות ותעשיית הון סיכון.

היה לנו מזל, לי ולמור שותפתי, מלכתחילה נמשכנו למקצועות האלה. מור למדה מתמטיקה ומחשבים אני למדתי כלכלה והיום הצינורות המרכזיים להון סיכון מגיעים מעולם היזמות, ניהול או ייעוץ אסטרטגי ובכל התחומים האלה יש עדיין מעט, יחסית, נשים כי התחומים הללו מאד תובעניים.
אנו מצאנו שבכ-20 אחוז מחברות הפרוטפוליו שלנו יש יזמית אישה. אני לא חושבת שזה בגלל שדווקא החלטנו לקדם נשים בפעילות ההשקעות שלנו. אני חושב שמבחינה אסטרטגית מאד חשוב לנו למצוא יזמים והשקעות שהן טובות לפי הניתוח העבודה שלנו. העבודה שאנו נשים עוזרת לנו כי אנו סובלות פחות, אולי מהשיפוטיות שהרבה פעמים נתקלים בה בתעשייה.
