האיגוד הישראלי לכירורגיה פלסטית בהסתדרות הרפואית, יוזם כנס לציבור הרחב אשר יכלול הרצאות קצרות בסגנון "טד" עם מיטב הרופאים המומחים בנושא הזרקות, טיפולים אסתטיים וניתוחים פלסטיים. ההרצאות יכללו מידע חדשני למתעניינים בתחום ואינפורמציה חיונית לשוקלים לעבור ניתוח פלסטי או הליך אסתטי בעתיד. הכנס יערך בימים שני ושלישי בין התאריכים 25-26 בנובמבר 2019 במלון הילטון בתל אביב. הכניסה ללא תשלום בהרשמה מראש בלבד. בראש הכנס לציבור הרחב עומד ד"ר גיא נחמני, רופא מומחה לכירורגיה פלסטית ואסתטית. ההרצאות לציבור יחלו בשעה 17:00 אחר הצהריים וימשכו עד 20:30 בערב. בשעות הבוקר יערך כנס מקצועי לחברי האיגוד ולאורחים, אשר יעסוק במגוון תחומי הכירורגיה הפלסטית המשחזרת והרפואה האסתטית וישולבו בו בין היתר, מרצים בינלאומיים מובילים מהעולם סדנאות מעשיות למתמחים בכירורגיה פלסטית.
ד"ר מאיר כהן, יו"ר האיגוד הישראלי לכירורגיה פלסטית ואסתטית מסר כי: "בכנס נקיים קשר בלתי אמצעי בין הקהל המקצועי לציבור הרחב, נדון ביתרונות הרבים של ניתוחים והזרקות ונדבר גם על סיכונים וסיבוכים. בנוסף נדגיש את החשיבות של ביצוע הליכים אצל מומחה אמיתי לכירורגיה פלסטית, לאור התחרות הרבה הגוברת בענף".
ד"ר גיא נחמני יו"ר הכנס לציבור הדגיש כי: "המשתתפים בהרצאות יוכלו ללמוד באופן ישיר על הזרקות, ניתוחים וטיפולים שונים ולקבל מידע אמין ומקצועי מרופאים מובילים בתחום. הקפדנו לתכנן מראש את לוח הזמנים כך שכל מומחה יוכל לענות על שאלות בתום הרצאתו התכליתית. חשוב לנו שהציבור הרחב יבין כי ניתוחים פלסטיים יכולים לחולל שינוי דרמטי בדימוי הגוף, בתפישת הביטחון העצמי ובתחושת האושר הפנימי אך יחד עם זאת המטרה איננה להפוך אדם למישהו אחר אלא להעניק לו גרסה צעירה ויפה יותר של עצמו".
